STYLED: Romance

THE day finally came. A day to play (and work) but mostly play. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to work with an amazing crew of talented artists who came together with a common theme and goal~ to created something simple but beautiful and of course to build portfolio pieces. What we want to do is to showcase to our clients and future ‘fans’ everything they didn’t know they wanted! Like APPLE, we want our clients to ‘Think Different’…

In love with Paris..

Market…that is : ) As I was touring Savannah, Georgia I came across a store- the Paris Market. I knew I had to check it out. L.o.o.k. at these chairs! As I entered the enchanting store, I was welcomed by this HUGE black board. Ahhh… I’m in Paris heaven.

Just a few more steps…. this bar, parlor, cafe… whatever you want to call it. It makes you want to order a cuppa.. never mind I’m hardly a coffee drinker! Sit by the window, under the chandelier and people watch… I can do this all day.

Well, after spending time sitting and day dreaming by the window… you can’t help but shop! Pearl lettering for your boudoir, fancy wrapping paper to wrap all those gifts from your travels, etc etc etc.

Don’t forget lavender sachets and perfumed soaps : )

A few more goodies….

How cool is this store? Well, I am so grateful for the Paris Market for allowing me to photograph IN THE STORE. Yes, I could have.. all day long! So next time you’re in Savannah, be sure to stop by. Or for a sneak peek NOW,  click HERE for their online goodness : )

Merci

Summer Styled Shoot

Oh.. I’ve been waiting for this day for almost a year now. I’ve had an idea in my mind… in the making since fall of last year-  to put together a STYLED shoot with local artists and vendors. So much has happened- baby, weddings, shoots.. so a SPRING shoot became a SUMMER shoot. I can go on and on… but here’s a sneak peek ; ) I simply can’t wait and definitely cannot wait for my film/ negatives to return from Richards Photo Lab (RPL). They did a little magic on the last session I did with CAT… just scroll below..

So much more to come..

Trends, finds, and Annabelle

Trending now? Old is new again. Vintage is hip, chic, and a hit! Feathers? You’ve heard haven’t you? It’s trending now too. Is it old? Will it catch on ‘crazy’ like silly bands and zhu zhu pets? I’m not a trend-er. I tend to stick to the safe, the classic… you know the black heels, little black dress, black slacks… Yes, I have red shoes, fuchsia heels, a turquoise blue handbag. I try to add a little color and yes, take a little risk once in a while. But, I wonder about these feather extensions. Should I? Should I not? My Cat LOVES anything purple, so as a back-to-school treat- some feathers!! Thanks to Justina at NVU Salon : )

Cat’s origami creation # 2397! She made and made and made… I love this one.

Paper Heart

Just perfect!

Crane? A must.

All she wanted was a picture with Annabelle : )

Vintage finds… old hankies.

Lace = Love

I’m so glad these turned out so beautiful. I simply love the COLOR. Yes, these are shot on FILM. And ‘straight out of the camera’…i.e. no corrections.

Wedding: Paige + Eric

The afternoon was shaping out to be rather warm. Paige and Eric were all prepared for an eventful day with close family and friends and knew there was a slight chance of afternoon rain. A shower of joy perhaps and they didn’t let it bother them. Rain or shine, it was their day. A day they have dreamed about for a looong time. Yes, it was going to be lovely day. And yes, it’s lovely because of these details… I LOVE the brooch detail on her all white bouquet of hydrangeas and roses. Paige wanted a consistent pewter and cream theme throughout the wedding…

Simply classic. Love the cascading ruffles on the back of Paige’s wedding dress. Plus a subtle floral beaded, rhinestone detail above the bust.

Last moments before the FIRST LOOK…

So much of the day just zips by. Rushing from place to place, schedules, appointments… the only time to slow down and enjoy a little bit of peace is during a FIRST LOOK. It’s that little moment where nothing matters. Nothing but the person you’re going to see for the first time that day. A beautiful moment.

How gorgeous is Paige?

Eric looks at Paige… that certain look ; )

Oh yes.. of love.

Walking down the aisle…

Of course CAKES by Teresa Caudill. She never disappoint. I love the simple design.

Chocolate, chocolate and strawberries..mmmmm, it was.

Only the best ‘wishes’ for the happy couple..

Paige’s parents were the longest married couple there : )

The newlyweds
