The moment I met Whitney and Michael.. I knew they were perfect for each other. They had eyes only for one another. Their LOVE, so pure and exclusive, so beautiful and heart warming. Yes, I can feel it! They found each other at work a couple of years ago when Whitney was working as a pharmacy technician and Michael a relief pharmacist. From that fateful day they were hooked. Maybe it was the hot Challenger Michael had at that time, maybe it was his quiet demeaner, or maybe because he asked if she wanted to drive it?! She didn’t hesitate or waste any time and said, “I’d like a RIDE in it”. That ride ended being over 3 hours! They hit it off immediately and talked for hours! The turning moment was the weekend Michael invited Whitney to a Cincinnati Reds game. Michael recalled the cute RED dress Whitney had on that day ; ) He bought her a Reds T-shirt…. well, he treated her like a lady, something Whitney still smile about today  : ) Whitney knew he was special and they have been inseparable since!

About a year later, they went to Lexington to do the usual- eat, shop, etc. but Whitney felt Michael wasn’t himself. He was rushing everywhere they went. He answered/ spoke in 2- 3 word sentences. Something Whitney wasn’t use to. Feeling upset, Whitney broke down and cried… fearing the worst. Michael reached in the back seat, going through shopping bags and pulled out a black ring box. And said, ” I love you more than words can say. I want to be with you forever. Will you marry me?” She said YES, over and over again!! AND it was a ring to definitely say YES to ; )

 ‘The cabin’ never lets me down… yes, it was a little chilly-windy that day but I cannot brag about it enough. I absolutely love the images IT allows me to create for my clients. It doesn’t hurt either that my ‘couple-of-the-moment’ happens to be good looking  ; )  Having done other shoots there before, I wanted this engagement session to be a little different- a little more about the couple and less on the location. I’m so happy it turned out better than I expected.

Vandi and Derrick were extra excited for their Engagement shoot at the Eversole cabin. With smiles on their faces, I knew it was going to be a ‘great’ day! Nothing phased them… the chill in the air, even a screaming baby (I’ll have an explanation later on)! Anyway,  it was a eventful day.. much like the day in the December last year where Derrick decided Vandi was the one and the time was right. Vandi had a hunch that ‘it’ was going to happen that night in Memphis, TN. It seemed like forever recalled Vandi. After dinner, as they were walking back to the Peabody Hotel he finally got down on one knee and said those sweet words. Vandi.. I’m sure smiled from ear to ear. Maybe like this smile below  : )
