She loves the way he looks at her. Sigh.. well, Jennifer and Jeremy’s Engagement session made us do just that…sigh. How awesome and cute is this couple? We met at Biltmore, North Carolina on one of the hottest days to date but it wasn’t as hot as this couple. They met at the local park through mutual friends back in their High School days.. when every teenager cruise along the park to meet and ‘find’ friends. They found each other indeed. But, years past and things were changing for them. Jeremy thought of a way to REALLY surprise Jennifer but did it indirectly. On Christmas Day.
A month prior, her Sister’s boyfriend had ‘planned’ to propose and asked Jennifer to take her out ‘ring’ shopping to see what she really liked. Jennifer was so excited and was happy to oblige. She found what could have been HER perfect ring. Well, fast forward to Christmas day and they exchanged gifts at her parent’s home. Jeremy gave her a huge and heavy box. She opened it and it was a surround sound box. She kept digging and finally found a small box. He proposed in front of the entire family and surprise!
One of my favorites!
She loved her ring!
Yes, we were here.. One last shot!

I’ve known Janie for several years… while she was working at the Montessori School and later at a local bank. She had always been so nice, kind and sweet and I knew one day, she would make some guy SO incredibly lucky. Then, she met Kent. Tall, older (ok.. more mature) and handsome was her criteria she said to me one day. She l-o-v-e-s a tall man ; ) She wanted someone who would be there for her, protect her and make her laugh. And Kent was there and not going anywhere. AND he does make her laugh! Bonus points. Then, just a few short months ago in April, Kent was going to surprise Janie. Of course she had no idea. She was busy eating toast and she was going to finish it. He paced the floor, all the time thinking ‘Will she hurry up and eat that toast?’ He got down on his knees and opened a special box. And the rest is history…
All the time I’ve known Janie, she always had FAB shoes. I knew when she broke her engagement news, she will have some FABULOUS shoes for her wedding day! Yes, I gave this pair special attention. It deserves it. It doesn’t have to cost $800 or have a ‘famous name’. All a bride needs is some totally cute shoes that shows off her personality and style! This 5″ pair is from Baker’s. Totally fit for a goddess : )
Can you believe we found this retro chair in one of the church rooms? So stylish and sleek.
Her bold earrings accented with blue colored aquamarine stones.
Kent did really good with the ring selections.
How radiant she looks …
Just above, Kent is getting ready with the help of his dad.
How handsome is he? Janie did pretty good too : )
Janie loves her fancy shoes but she wanted something simple for the ceremony and reception. Candles and love birds were everywhere.
Something I’d love to see more of…. a candy station.
They were nice to each other. That’s what I love about this couple.
After the reception, it was time for some Bride & Groom portraits. With temperatures soaring above 90 deg F, we decided to wait and do all the portraits after everything. No time contraints, no hurrying. I love it! And I especially love it when the couple agrees with you and gets axcited about taking portraits. We spent about 1.5 hours (in lovely weather) having … yes, FUN! And when you’re having fun… these are what you get : )
Wow… Janie, how gorgeous are you? Simply perfect.
Empty field, lots of wind. Another perfection.
Is it getting hot in here?
