It seems like the WORLD clock moves faster each year… turning days into months into years. And before you know it… Here it is again! Miss January.

I call it MISS because it is:

*  Always unpredictable (weather & moods)

*  Always new (goals &  resolutions)

*  Always clean (out with the old and in with the sparkly, crisp & shinny)

*  Always broke (Bills, Bills & more Bills)

One thing for sure (despite all these FUN things) I have more time to check out these great sites. They are an inspiration to me, personally and professionally. 

(1) WEDDING and EVENT DESIGN: JL Designs –  Simple, Natural, and yet so beautiful. Fresh design elements, simple color combinations and style.

(2) SWEETS & CUPCAKES:  My Sweet and Saucy – Who knew cakes and cupcakes can be so much fun!! Her designs and creations are FUN, modern, and delicious and will certainly make you smile! How I wish I had that talent! DO check out her desert table full of sweetneass : ) Great ideas for YOUR next bash?; Also check out BAKERALLA – another great talent for creating yumminess.  A cure for sweet tooth? Bakeralla has ideas for your next wedding reception or birthday party. Especially for you DIY-ers and partiers on a budget. Must see!

(3) WEDDING BLOGS GALORE – There must be a gagillion blogs out there for brides and weddings. All offering the best tips and ideas for your DREAM event. Here, I follow a few for good reads AND great photography. Again, great inspiration : ) Utter Engaged, Style Me Pretty , Snippet and Ink , Project Wedding – Do check out the REAL WEDDINGS section for ideas and also their PHOTOS section. There are literally hundreds of LOOKS for the blushing bride. For hair, I particularly love this one. (This one’s for you Margie D!)

(4) FUN THINGS – In January, one must create your own fun- watch the rerun of Friends, take a cruise, a good read by the fireplace, or simply check out these GREAT (mine at least) ‘finds’. All these are found at ETSY. A great site to buy & sell handmade things. Almost like ebay for crafters! For your wedding, here are some neat items to check out (a) Ring Bearer Bowl (b) French Lace Butterfly Shrug (c) Personalized Wedding Monogram. But, also beware of some not so cool items for sale. A website called REGRETSY finds these utterly odd, ‘what was this person thinking’, or sometimes just disgusting items that have been listed for sale in etsy.com. The authur makes fun of the items and many times, HELP the sellers SELL THEM! I had to share it because some of the items were just too much. I had a good laugh and so will you. However, PLEASE don’t take it too seriously and definitely ‘Viewer Discretion is Advised!’ No kids in the room… if you know what I mean ; )
