After 11+ hours of driving, we arrived. This time, we were spontaneous. We researched locations, room rates and decided on Panama City Beach on Saturday and we were on the road on Sunday. As we pulled in to our hotel (Legacy on the Beach) parking area, we felt our ‘smiles’ building. We headed straight to the ocean through this opening below.
Now, we are in a small paradise. Yes, there are plenty of beaches elsewhere in the States with pretty waters but if you compared it with Myrtle Beach and alike, this is a small paradise. The water was greenish blue, so clean. The sand was almost white but felt perfect and temperature was 80+ deg f. Great all around. AND no scorching feet!
Legacy on the Beach was on the beach. Beach front with ALL rooms facing the ocean. There’s a beach bar/ restaurant next door (BareFoot Beach Club), a convenience store across the street and more restaurants in walking distance. LOVE shopping? Pier Park has EVERYTHING you need! A mere 0.8 miles away. (More images on Pier Park next!)
NOPE, no oil here. The beaches were not crowded. One thing that was different was that there are no lifeguards on duty. Just colored flags to warn swimmers on surf conditions.
Later in the day… storm approaching.
Ok..ok.. we’re on vacation. But I can’t resist a sunset shoot. AND portraits on the beach. : ) Hint! Hint!
I promised Cat she can swim a little more if she let me photograph.
The next day.. sunset on the beach # 2.
One of my favorites.. even a little bit fuzzy.
Love the sparkles on the sand.. I didn’t see it while I was snapping away.
Doing what she does best and love. ART.
Thanks for walking with us. We loved it here.
Check back soon for more on Pier Park.
