Wes confessed that nothing has changed since their first ‘date’. He still thinks of her constantly and everything since then felt so right. He could not wait till June 9th to be married to Megan, a girl of his dreams. He writes. He writes and speaks with his heart and only Megan was the one for him. Then and their lifetime.
Megan on the one hand, was smittened from their first encounter. Maybe, it was his good looks ; ), blonde messy locks, or maybe his smile. Yes, it was all that. And more. She saw his heart, a kind one and knew he was hers. For a lifetime.
Their wedding day couldn’t be more perfect. It was clear, sunny, with a light breeze. Everything fell into place with a miner glitch but it didn’t put a damper on things. Megan was calm and expected the unexpected.
Megan envisioned a laced wedding gown for her big day. ‘It will be lace’, she said when we met to chat about wedding photography. After a few tries, she fell in love with this Maggie Sottero ‘Presca’ dress. Modern yet classic, this slim A-line dream dress has a tiered scalloped lace hemline that delicately completes the look. She paired it with a simple veil and very understated jewelry. Yes, she looked gorgeous : )
Megan’s untraditional wedding heels. But, it’s so her!
I love these silk, aquamarine bridesmaids dresses! They are simply well made and looked amazing on her Bridesmaids. You can’t go wrong with WToo!
The sweet scent from Megan’s peony and hydrangea bouquet was heavenly.
Flower girls dresses to match! They carried both old and new baskets, embellished with silk ribbons. Megan’s mother, Sue assembled these together.
Also, these brown baskets were Sue’s when she got married : )
After sometime with Phillip for her effortlessly tied low side bun and amazing makeup by Jemma, Megan was ready to step into her gorgeous Maggie Sottero dress. She looked divine even after being temporary stranded with a flat tire earlier in the day. (She wasn’t even sweating!)
Corset styled gown for THE perfect fit. Megan’s mom, Sue and Matron of Honor, Casey laced the dress carefully.
Garter handmade/sewn by Sue.
Megan’s besties- bridesmaids in their chosen WToo dresses. Their bouquet – simple hand-tied baby’s breath. Their accessories were kept classic as well- pearls.
Wes chose tan suits for him and his groomsmen. Totally fitting for a summer wedding.
Looking sharp, I must say.
Their FIRST LOOK! How did they feel? See below : )
Happiness? Affection? Heartfelt? All the above.
How about this RED accessory? A wedding is not quite complete without a car (antique ’57 chevy)! A special treat for us from Megan’s father- Larry, a car enthusiast.
I don’t know which is HOTTER- the car or Megan?!
A *hot* combination indeed. : )
Wes and his guys..
4 Star Catering has come a LONG way.. they recently added a new barn and ‘gathering’ area for special occasions like weddings, reunions, etc. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it turned out! Pristine mountains, trees, rolling hills… it’s becoming THE place to marry. And all in one package.
Simplicity at its best! Lovely baby’s breath arrangements in aquamarine hued mason jars. Candle lit glass cylinders tied with burlap ribbons and accented with rhinestone brooches for a touch of romance.
Megan wanted lots of candle light and lights hanging from the ceiling. It was beautiful and more importantly down to earth, like the lucky couple.
Yummy cakes by Teresa Caudill. She never disappoints!
The wedding cake sits on top of a log disc FOUND on the side of a road while Megan and her Mom was traveling in Tennessee. It was the perfect diameter and another disc was cut to make the Guest Sign-In disc. Cost: $ 0
Coke? Yes, please.
Megan & Wes posing with their hand cut/ painted ROCK DOLLS. A unique accent to their wedding cake. It was made specially by Jeanette Rice and given to them by Megan’s aunt, Lois.
This has to be an ORIGINAL! A log disc for GUEST sign-in. Green, friendly and totally unique!
The property at 4 Star Catering (Red Fox) has so many areas for guests to mingle. One of which (a hit with the kids!) was the fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making smores.
Megan & Wes’ initials and wedding date burnt into the wood– made by Emily Pratt
After a long day, they enjoy “crazy love” in each others arms once again. How lovely is this couple?
Swoon ; )
Megan & Wes decided to have a little fun by having a PHOTO BOOTH. Surprisingly, the guests had no reservations donning the silly props.
A sparkly exit.. with their closest family and friends.
MEGAN & WES: THANK you both and your families for this special honor. I am SO grateful for your friendship and wish you a lifetime of sweet happiness and unforgettable memories.
